Direct Targeted Methylation Sequencing (dTMS) is Renew Biotechnologies’ hybrid capture-based longread sequencing platform for integrated analysis of genetic variation and DNA methylation within defined genomic regions. The assay combines Agilent SureSelect hybridization-based target enrichment, proprietary Renew library preparation methods, and native long-read Oxford Nanopore sequencing to generate high-depth targeted datasets while preserving native epigenetic modifications. Unlike PCR-based or bisulfite sequencing approaches, dTMS retains native DNA molecules and methylation signals, enabling simultaneous detection of single-nucleotide variants (SNVs), short tandem repeats (STRs), haplotype phasing, and regional DNA methylation patterns.
